Thanks for stopping by the farm. I'm Ashli - wife, mother of four, farmer, and small business owner. I started Little River Farmstead because I wanted to know where our food was coming from. Here at the farm we like to keep it Simple + Good!
We craft our Elderberry Syrup with farm grown elderberries and raw honey right here on the farm in our licensed kitchen. Keeping the ingredients simple and crafting in small batches. Simple + Good!
From rotationally grazing our livestock to our no till market garden, we believe in regenerative farming practices.
Our products are crafted with farm sourced ingredients. We use farm grown elderberries in our Elderberry Syrup and our Goat's Milk Soap is crafted from fresh raw goat's milk from our herd.
We are a small family farm and craft our products in small batches. Crafting in small batches, with farm sourced ingredients, is how we ensure the quality of our products.
Our Elderberry Syrup is crafted with farm grown elderberries sourced from our farm and farms in the co-op.
To ensure the quality of our Elderberry Syrup we use raw honey.
We keep the ingredients simple: Elderberries, Raw Honey, Organic Lemon Juice, Organic Ceylon Cinnamon, Organic Whole Clove
Our Goat's Milk Soap is crafted with fresh raw goat's milk from our herd!
Our goats are rotationally grazed and we use an herbal deworming program to ensure our goat's milk is chemical free.
When we purchased the farm in 2017, this was the first of the Elderberries planted. The Elderberry bushes were actually the first thing to put roots down here, planted before we even moved out to the farm. To see them now is quite amazing.
We have since planted Elderberry bushes throughout the farm and are anxiously awaiting for them to mature. Our organic buffer has rows of Persimmon trees, Elderberry bushes, and fruit trees. In addition to the Elderberry bushes we have planted, we have native Elderberry bushes that have established themselves throughout the farm.
I often say we have a "food forest" as the farm has wild onions, gooseberries, black raspberries, blackberries, mulberries, and native wildflowers. Our bees use the pollen and nectar collected from these plants and flowers to make the honey we harvest here on the farm.
The Farm Stand is closed for the season, orders can be picked up on the farm by appointment.
